I appreciate the sigil-like quality of the Iterograph images and the randomness of the generation process. Digital totemism. The images lend themselves to energy topics because, depending on the beholder, they can look like suns, atoms, molecules, stars, etc.
They’re also easy to make (and fast), which ensures that I don’t spend too much time deliberating over what images should accompany a given post. Yet I’ve still managed to create a personal iconography war chest.
And I just remembered that Substack has a photography archive, which I might make use of soon. Many of the energy images are standard-fare pics of solar panels and wind mills but some of the photos are quite artistic.
